This Week in SnackChat

This weeks installment of This Week in SnapChat comes from two SnapChat friends.  When I say SnapChat friends, these aren't people that send me nudes, these are my actual friends and the don't send nudies...yet.  Between the videos of singing in our cars and views of our jobs they send me pictures of food.  The above picture is one that I sent out.  Oh Filipinos, this "favorite" is a bad word.

These SnackChats come from user tips1904.  Tastebuds get tired of Rolling Rock and PBR, so why not crack open a bottle of dat Dom. What I can also take is that my friends can't spell.

These SnackChats and the corresponding text message comes from chooch-o. Eating salads and hummus, getting back into shape.  Just in time for the holidays.

Yeah, I take screencaps.

Thxgvng

When it comes to Thanksgiving we all know somebody somewhere ate something. So this being a food blog, why be conventional and bore you with what I ate? There was a turkey on the table and I was with my family. That's all you need to know.

Here comes the big question: What am I thankful for this year? I am thankful for lots of things this year and the fact that we are eating till our bellies are full is a blessing. So friends, take time to enjoy one another!

PreThanksgiving

Whoever thought that a stick with mini cabbages bursting from every side would taste so yummy?  When asked to bring a savory greens to a PreThanksgiving dinner naturally we opted for green bean casserole, it's fucking tradition. But me being nontraditional, I made that shit from scratch.

Boom! Suck it canned cream of mushroom and crispy onions. I don't need you! We also brought the brussel sprouts; lightly burnt and dressed with red wine vinegar, mustard and bacon. It was fucking good and even the brussel haters said it was pretty tasty.

So this year, What am I thankful for?  I'm thankful that chickens lay eggs and that God made them edible. Amen.

Eating Out Staples Center

I am a Los Angeles Kings season ticket holder.  Forty two days of my life (give or take) will be spent at Staples Center.  Majority of the time the game is during the work week so I go straight from Orange County after work, straight into the hell hole that is the 405 North to the 110 North to get to the cesspool that is Downtown LA.  So no home cooked meal for me and the husband.   This time we ate at Ludo Bird.  I am a big fan of Ludo Lefebvre so I figured give this place a try.

The chicken, like me, packs a knife so instantly this has a place in my heart. Then it was honeymoon over. After ordering the house made chips, popcorn chicken, and a fried chicken sandwich, I remembered why I need to remember to pack a dinner.

Thirty dollars later we had a meal that coated the intestines with a good amount of rosemary flavored grease. YUM!  Would I eat there again? Probs, its a decent meal for Staples Center. Don't take my word for it, the LA Times has a legit article HERE.

This Week in SnackChat

This Week in SnackChat features the SnackChats my friends send via SnapChat. This week I have two.  Why only two?  Well, I just came up with the idea on Wednesday.

Yeah, this is one that I sent. So what?

This is one that SnapChat user chooch-o sent me. Doesn't look like a snack to me, but I'll take it.

Eizelle Eats Out

Hi,

My name is Eizelle and I love eating food, but I'm not a fucking foodie. I can cook. So not only can I dish it, but I can literally dish it.  By all means, I am not a chef.  I work full time at a desk like a veil and oddly enough, I don't eat veil.

Here you will find my current musings of food, drinks and anything else that passes though my mouth.

So hello, enjoy, and I hope one day I can eat out with you.
